SCC ART PORTFOLIO

We have created the SCC Art Portfolio to introduce our guests to Africa's most talented and highly recognised artists. Each of these artists specialises in a particular area, and we recommend arranging a safari that incorporates a visit to the artist in his or her studio, where you can see the artist at work. All our artists are Kenyan born, and passionate about the land of their birth, and representing it through their art.

Anna Trzebinski divides her time between her spiritual home in Laikipia, and Nairobi, where her studio is located. Her work has a magic that reflects the incredible gift Africa and her people can give us: to remind us where we came from and how pure the human spirit is. We invite you to visit Anna at her studio and meet the tribal women who help her bring these creations to life.
Hilary Hurt is one of Kenya's top photographers, and her extensive experience of being on safari in various parts of Africa makes her the only choice for those who would like a professional photographer on safari with them. She will come on safari, take hundreds of photographs, and present you with an album, several prints and all the images in high resolution. This is the ultimate luxury!
Murray Grant was brought up in the wilds of Northern Kenya on his family ranch; and when he started sculpting from the clay of termite mounds at the tender age of three, they knew that this was no passing phase. Today, Murray is one of Kenya's most respected young sculptors, with an approach to sculpting that reflects a life spent in close proximity to wildlife.
The idea behind Shompole Collection is to emphasise commercial opportunity rather than charity, with a goal of self-sufficiency and long term benefit putting people in control of their own destiny. The business does make donations every year - supporting Bent on Learning, the African Rainforest Conservancy, Women of the Congo and Shine on Sierra Leone every year through donations at charity auctions.
